I was given a very short time to sculpt the Congressman's portrait bust. There was not enough time to have a bronze made of the bust for presentation at HESTEC (Hispanic Engineering, Science & Technology Week, www.Hestec.org ) at the University of Texas Pan-American. So I had molds made and a fine white plaster casting created. A bronze casting will soon be completed and will replace the temporary plaster casting. |

After Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi (seen at far left) gave an inspiring speech, I unveiled the portrait bust. (Congressman Hinojosa looks at his portrait as his wife talks with Major Joe Ochoa).
