Proceeds from the faux marble Neda 'Angel of Freedom' (click here to see the half life size bust) will fund this 10 foot high Bronze Monument  'Angels of Freedom'

Bronze Monument of Neda and the Freedom Fighters of Iran

It was difficult for me to sketch the bronze monument design above because I kept thinking about how sad it was that these beautiful young people had their lives cut short, and some of them through extreme torture and pain.  Each face I drew made my heart ache for their family, friends and loved ones.  I have named the monument 'Angels of Freedom.'

The monument would be sculpted in high and low relief.  Neda as the central figure would be sculpted in high relief coming out from the bronze panel with her hand on her heart and risen above the scene of her death below.  The other young people whose lives have been lost would be sculpted in beautifully detailed low relief.  On the reverse side of the monument would be information about the revolution and powerful iconic scenes from the massive protests in Iran that we have all seen.  I envision the bronze monument being approximately 10ft tall and installed upon a 2 foot high granite base.  A similar sized bronze panel on each side could be added with more relief portraits and a listing of the martyrs names.  I hope this monument speaks to people who will hopefully see it one day soon in a Free Iran!

Love and Light, Paula
