Works In Progress - "Life is a Journey" |

| This sculptural project is for a
Designer Showcase in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The finished
realistic and highly detailed life-size bronze sculptures will be
located by a beautiful pool with disappearing waterfalls. The sculptures
will be under-lit and viewable through the many walls of windows in this
elegant Santa Barbara styled Mediterranean home.
My clients chose the name, "Life is a Journey", for the designer home and wanted a life-size bronze sculpture of a grandfatherly type figure with a grandson figure that represented their inspiring theme. I drew five sketches and presented my client with these different designs. They chose my favorite one, which is an uplifting image of a little bird taking flight from the fingertips of the grandson figure while his grandfather kneels by his side. I hope the viewer of these sculptures will share this loving moment with an appreciation for nature and the journey of life. |
